Myths About Buying Hearing Aids Online [Infographic]

In my role at ZipHearing I talk to folks struggling with hearing loss every day. One of the questions I’m frequently asked is, “Should I buy hearing aids online?” My answer is always the same- “If local service from a licensed hearing provider is included in your purchase price, sure!” However, if local service is not included, and the online hearing aid retailer says they are going to “remotely program” and mail your hearing aids to you- proceed with caution.

It’s hard to succinctly explain the many pitfalls of buying hearing aids online and getting them remotely programmed, so we made this infographic to help illustrate some of these points. I know this is a very polarizing topic, so feel free to add your 2 cents in the comment section below!
