Phonak Adds New Naída V to Venture Platform

For patients with severe to profound hearing loss there is a new power hearing aid on the market to consider- the Phonak Naída V. In late 2014, Phonak first introduced the Venture platform which promised wearers more processing power, reduced battery consumption, and better overall performance. The Venture platform was initially introduced with the Audéo V family of RIC hearing aids, and for a while Venture technology was only available in those aids. The Audéo V has been tremendously successful and is currently the highest rated hearing aid on our website.

Since the release of the Venture platform and the Audéo V in late 2014, Phonak has been slowly introducing the technology to each family of hearing aids they build. Today, Phonak announced that their renowned line of power hearing aids, Naída, will now benefit from the Venture platform technology as well. The new Naída V hearing aids will be available in the RIC (receiver-in-canal) & SP (super power) models, with a Naída V UP (ultra power) model slated to be released in just a few months.

What’s new with the Naída V?

With this new release comes an upgrade to Phonak’s SoundRecover feature, with SoundRecover2. SoundRecover2 is Phonak’s popular frequency lowering technology which works to preserve and improve the audibility of high frequency sounds. Since many patients with severe to profound hearing loss have significant hearing loss in the high frequencies, this feature is particularly well-suited to be introduced in a power product like the Naída V.

Smaller design, more reliable build, more power
Naída V is 25% thinner than its predecessor, making it more comfortable to wear and less visible. Composed of new carbon reinforced material, Naída V is now 60% more robust than its predecessor and is also water and dust resistant with an IP68 rating. Finally, the Naída V has up to 11db of increased gain compared to the Naída Q, without an increase in battery consumption.

The Naída V is available in 4 technology levels and 4 price points through ZipHearing: Update: Naida B is now available

Starting today, we’ll begin placing orders for the all new Naída V and have also lowered our prices on the earlier Quest platform Naída Q models.
