Hearing Aid Description & Features
Released by Phonak on November 1, 2018 the Phonak Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 falls under Phonak`s advanced technology level within the Audeo Marvel Rechargeable family. What makes the Marvel hearing aid special? Unlike most hearing aids which can only connect to iOS devices, Phonak Audeo Marvel can connect directly to either your iOS or Android smartphone or other Bluetooth® enabled phones.
As advanced technology, this hearing aid is the second best technology that Phonak has to offer, making it a great choice for individuals with casual lifestyles, who need hearing aids that can deliver great sound quality in almost all environments. For individuals who spend a significant amount of time in noisy environments, a higher technology level should be considered for better perfomance in noise.
The Phonak Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 hearing aid has 16 channels and 5 customizable programs, and that gives it the flexibility to digitally process sound in a way that sounds natural, and can also be adapted to the particular listening environment of the wearer. In addition, Audeo M70R hearing aids feature Phonak's newest sound processing algorithm, AutoSense 3.0.
The Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 is powered by a built in lithium-ion battery, which, when powered overnight, reliably delivers 24 hrs of power to the hearing aid. With a maximum potential gain of 67 SPL, the Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 is suitable for individuals with mild to severe hearing loss.
With its discreet RIC (receiver in canal) style, the Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 sits comfortably behind the ear and is hardly noticeable to the wearer or others. This hearing aid is available in 8 color choices as shown below.

Accessories & Smartphone Apps
Charger Case Combi (Included)
This is the standard charger that comes with all rechargeable hearing aids. Fully charges your hearing aids in 3 hrs, providing 24 hours of power. A quick charge of 30 minutes will provide 6 hours of power. There's also a compartment inside that has room for dessicant, which helps dry out the hearing aids overnight. Dessicant doesn't come standard with orders from Phonak. If you want it, please specify at the time you order .
Mini Charger Case: $79
The Phonak Mini Charger Case, with standard USB-C charging outlet, is a compact charger for two Audéo M-R hearing aids.
Power Pack: $99
If you sometimes go "off the grid" for a few days, this is a must have, because it's the only way to charge your hearing aids when you don't have access to electricity. The Power Pack is a lithium-ion battery that plugs into the bottom of the Charger Case Combi providing a reserve of 7 full charging cycles.
TV Connector: $249
Plug it into the back of your TV or soundbar and the audio will be streaned directly to your hearing aids. Others can keep the TV at their preferred volume level, while you set your own volume via the app, on the hearing aids themselves, or via the + or - buttons on the TV connector.
You probably don't need this. Most people use the app to control their hearing aids, and if not the app, then the push button on the hearing aid itself. But if neither of those suit you, this remote is a simple way to control the volume and program.
If you have a hard time hearing in noise this accessory is a lifesaver. Attach this microphone to a companion's shirt and their voice will stream directly to your hearing aids. Their voice will come through much stronger than all the competing noise in the environment.
Take control of your hearing aids. Adjust settings like volume, programs, frequencies, and noise cancellation. See information about your hearing aids, like battery charge and wear time statistics. In some cases, you can even connect with your hearing provider for remote adjustments to your hearing aids.
myCall-to-Text phone App
Have a hard time hearing on the phone? This app allows you to read, in real time, what the person on the other end of the phone is saying.

This is my first set of hearing aids, and there is definitely a difference between normal hearing and that which you experience through hearing aids. That is my biggest challenge. It feels like there is a constant echo, akin to what you might hear speaking through a microphone. I am still trying to get used to that. It is most prevalent when I hear myself speaking. I purchased Phonak Audeo Marvel 70R aids. I really like the rechargeable feature. There was only one time it did not recharge, and it was because I did not plug it in properly. The charge lasts all day- no complaints whatsoever. And it is fully charged rapidly. The Bluetooth connection with my iPhone 8+ is terrific. I can hear and answer calls directly through my aids, and I am also alerted to text messages that are received. This is very convenient especially when I am driving, or when my phone is in another room. The people with whom I have spoken over the phone through my aids have not experienced any difficulty understanding me, even when the phone was not nearby. There is an app called Phonak Remote through which you can make some adjustments to the sound levels. There is one thing wrong with this app I have noticed so far. In the spot where you have to select the function you are trying to manipulate, you have to choose via an "X" to select. There is no prior instruction to that effect. You have to figure it out for yourself. This is not user friendly to US customers, since "X" generally signifies to "exit" a function, not select it, in standard operating systems and apps. In general, the app does not seem very effective or efficient to me. I thought it would allow a lot more adjustments than it does, based on the marketing pamphlets that I reviewed prior to my decision to purchase the aids. I have mild to moderate hearing loss, and I am still working with my specialist to adjust the aids to best suit my needs. The aids have a feature called automatic acclimatization, which can be set to upgrade the amplification on a scheduled basis. Each day, your aids automatically adjust a little more to be closer to your target range, without having to visit the specialist in the interim. That is very convenient for me. I didn't realize that it would be such a gradual process to get to your target range, but it is probably better than trying to get used to them all at once. In general, I like the Phonak Audeo Marvel 70R aids. I anticipate looking into purchasing the TV Connector accessory, since I still have some difficulty understanding speech on TV, especially when the actors speak quickly, or have an accent. But I am now able to turn off the closed captioning on my TV, so that is a big plus to me, and it indicates to me that I am no longer struggling to understand speech on TV.
Pros: -The sound quality is excellent; although, I think having them fitted and programmed properly maximizes your ability to appreciate the sound quality. I heard tones in music that I probably hadn't heard in years. Direct streaming music to the hearing aids was very good. In fact I am listening to and enjoying music more than I have in years. Hearing on the phone when connected to my Android Phone was the most beneficial feature of wearing this Hearing Aid. -This HA was the smallest of all the HAs that I saw during 3 different hearing evaluations at 3 different HA Centers. I chose the champagne color because it blended well with my silver and brown hair. I don't think anyone has even noticed them. Even if someone sees them, they look like sleek modern earbuds that many people wear, not hearing aids. -They come with 2 cases, one aid in each case. However, I keep one in the bathroom to protect them while I get in the shower or use hairspray. I keep one in my purse to protect them in the event that I need to remove them while I am out and about. For example going to the hair dresser. -This model also has programming for Tinnitus. I have had so much relief from Tinnitus while wearing them. The soft almost ocean like sound is much less distracting than the Tinnitus. I think that eventually I won't even notice this background noise.
CONS- If you stream music directly to the HAs, plus talk on the phone plus watch TV with a TV streaming device for long periods, the battery may not last. That is one of the negatives of their small size is the smaller battery. However, they charge very quickly with the provided charging device and any USB cord, so that you can charge them on the go from a battery pack or the car or your laptop. -The button to adjust the volume is a bit fiddly for me as I have some dexterity issues. I think time and practice will help this.
I used to have lots of problems hearing in noisy places or when people were talking softly. Not anymore with my new hearing aids. I can now hear in restaurants, family dinners and church. Love that they are rechargeable so I don't have to worry about batteries anymore. Didn't think it would be worth it and make this much difference but I love my new hearing aids!
Sound quality is great My hearing deficit is mainly around 4000k and the hearing aids sharpened the sound without being shrill. Conversation in noisy bars and restaurants is easier to understand. The Bluetooth connection works well with my phone and I enjoy making calls via the hearing aids. The hearing aids are comfortable and I hardly notice them to the point of accidentally stepping into the shower while wearing them. So far I am very happy with the hearing aids.
I've only had my M70 R hearing aids less than a week but already notice some things that are irritating. The myPhonak app allows some adjustment in low-mid-high sounds, balancing between left and right volume, plus a few others.... but if you do a manual volume adjustment the sound program defaults back to the autosense program! My left aid may be defective, it gives an occasional 'chirp' and the only way to keep it from doing it is to adjust the high gain down and reduce volume in the left hearing aid. This may be a problem with the initial fitting/setup and I'm scheduled for a followup in 10 days. So far the aids have made my tinnitus worse, hopefully this can be resolved during my followup. I read somewhere that the M70 has 16 channels which I interpret to mean it has 16 frequency cluster settings but I can't find this information in the specs, may be true or not, but I'd like to have these programmed to back down the 7K gain which sets off my tinnitus! Maybe the audiologist didn't understand when I told her that to begin with. Only plus so far is I can understand my wife better.. she was getting upset when I'd keep asking 'what did you say'.
I've only been wearing them for two weeks, so I'm sure part of my review is due to the adjustment period and "rewiring" my brain. Pros: Quite comfortable... as the day progresses I often forget I'm wearing them. High frequency response is much better/clearer; hearing conversations, music, seminars on the web, etc. Ease of use, rechargeable, Bluetooth capabilities, small "footprint", versatility. Cons: Conversations in a loud environment (restaurant, social engagement) are still a bit difficult, but that may be due to having the 70R's instead of the 90R's Overall, I'm pleased with the investment and they have improved my quality of life.
Sound quality is good. Comfort of wearing them is absolutely wonderful. So great to not hear myself when eating and to be able to hear others in a restaurant. No wind noise! Love having the hearing aids be rechargeable. Having the capability of hearing phone calls and navigation right in my ear has been amazing. The cost of the hearing aids was well worth it!
They are taking some getting used to, but I have gotten so I can't get around too well without them. Have a follow up this week to talk to the specialist about a couple of little issues. The service from zip (Grant) was very good, the price was high but much lower than getting them from my doctors office and I like the Bluetooth feature that lets me stream music and phone calls.
Just got them, first time hearing aid wearer. The “button” on the back of the ear piece is somewhat cumbersome to me, but it’s something I’m not used to and hopefully will get better with dexterity and practice. Sound is good, although will see provider next week for an adjustment. I do like how I can receive my phone calls through the hearing aids.
The sound quality of my Phonak Marvel-70 Rs is excellent. It's natural, not too loud, and doesn't do strange things like excessive compression or crashing sounds. Music streaming is particularly nice: I can hear every note of the symphony. TV streaming is good too. The only time I feel I need subtitles is when I watch films with foreign speakers. I am pleased with the battery life of my rechargeables. When I get ready for bed after 15 hours of run time, the app shows there's still 60% charge left on each device. The Phonak Remote app for use with smartphones for control of the hearing aids through Bluetooth connection is not sophisticated, and offers limited control of the aids. The app is sensitive to any device with Bluetooth turned on, and requires that previously used smartphone apps still running in the background be closed.
I love my new hearing aids---they are one thousand times better than I ever thought they would be. Hearing quality is perfect--they are simple to put in my ears--most people are shocked when I tell them that I have hearing aids on and even when I show them they can hardly see them and I have short hair. I don't even know that I have them on as I can't feel them in my ears. I can't say enough good things about them and I would recommend them to anyone who has a hearing loss. ! I love them!!! Thank you so much.
Sound quality is much better than hearing aids with sound tube. noise reduction is better, better in noisy environments, dont have to turn the TV or radio up to high volume to hear. Overall much better. The rechargable feature is so much more convenient than having to fiddle with and replace batteries.
I have only had my hearing aids for 2 weeks. I am scheduled back to see the audiologist in 2 days for my first adjustment. I am very satisfied with the comfort of the Phonak Marvel Units. The price was very good. The purchasing process was easy and straight forward.
Great sound. The Bluetooth is wonderful! They work great in noisy situations. They are very comfortable. They have changed some of the ways I am able to interact with others. Eating out is much more enjoyable. I now hear some bird sounds that I had not heard before. They ar much easier to manipulate than I anticipated.
For the most part they are wonderful. Sometimes the sound seems to be somewhat ”tinny” but it seems they are not automatically adjusting to the sound volume and I have to do a manual adjustment. Having said that I would happily recommend them to everyone. I am most happy with them in group conversation especially when discussing business situations. Using them as Bluetooth to my cell phone does not always work as well as I would like. Several people have told me that the sound is scratchy and difficult to understand what I am saying yet I am still very satisfied with them.
The sound quality of my new Phonak hearing aides is excellent. I am hearing sounds in the high range that I obviously have not heard in years. We also can turn the volume of the TV down to a reasonable level again! The product is well-made and appears to be a durable product. The local service provider has done an amazing job in setting up my hearing aides to address my severe hearing loss. ZipHearing was amazingly responsive in referring me to an exceptional quality local service provider for consultation, hearing exam, and selection of hearing aides from a wide range of choices, and in providing a name-brand product at a great price. I am totally satisfied with ZipHearing and my new hearing aides!
I have been impressed with hearing quality of my new hearing aids. This is my first pair of aids and have had hardly any problems making the adjustment.. I have been wearing them 10-12 hours a day with very little discomfort. I know they are working as I have been able to turn the T.V. volume down from the level I used to have the TV volume to hear.
Quality product. Fit well and no "squealing" Light weight and I hardly know I'm wearing them. This is my first use of hearing aids. Friends hardly know I'm wearing them. Glad I bought the rechargeable version as I would not like to change batteries when required.
Sound quality is great and volume control is Handy. They are comfortable and hardly noticeable. Have yet to try them in extreme conditions like crowded hard surface room.
I am very pleased with hearing aids. I could go without them, but prefer to use them. I was recently on a cruise, and was amazed how well it controlled the background noise. I also like the fact that they are blue tooth. I have recommended these to a few of my friends, due to the quality. I have recommended you partly for the at home service.
Excellent, so very clear. The app that allows me to control my blue tooth connection is outstanding. Glad I chose the Phonak! The size and the performance of this aid is excellent for me. Easy to use, easy to understand the use instructions and the recharge system is extremely helpful. Would highly recommend the Phonak to anyone looking for a new device.
I am still in my 45 day evaluation period. However, so far I have been very pleased with the Phonak hearing aids that I purchased. Sound quality is excellent and features are easy to use. Definitely helps to have audiologist program the aids to my specific hearing loss.
Background dampening does an excellent job in assisting hearing in group/crowd settings. So far would recommend to others.
I love the fit an sound quality. The hearing aids are hardly noticable. They are very comfortable to wear. Sound quality is excellent I can understand people talking around me. The blue tooth feature makes hand free phone conversations. The rechargeable batteries works nice with little or no maintance. This is the second set of hearing aids from Phonak and I ve been satisfied with the service.
I purchased 2 each Phonak Marvel 70R hearing aids. They are rechargeable and spare me fussing with changing batteries, and they easily go all day and up to late night with lots of charge to spare. The Phonak's perform perfectly. I am never in need of changing modes as they do that automatically. Music, Speech, TV, they use Artificial Intelligence to provide optimum performance. I chose them as they will communicate with my Android phone, which they do nicely. I find these are about the best I've owned. The only cons are they really do capture wind noise, and I actually wish they were a bit larger, to help my my fingers to hold them better.
I have previous experience with having one lower quality hearing aid in the past (that cost almost as much as two of these Phonak Audeo Marvel 70s) and nothing compares to the adaptability and tone quality as these. In the past, everything sounded very tinny and unrealistic and I had quite an adjustment period. Not with these, the sound quality was wonderful right from the start with no adjustment period needed. I love that they are bluetooth and I have used the app quite a bit to make adjustments on the fly whenever I would like a different setting. I love them!
I purchased the Phonak Marvel 70 rechargeable hearing aids on June 23. they are comfortable and work well. I normally wear them all day and the batteries have never ran out of charge.
I am extremely happy with my Phonak Audeo Marvel R hearing aids so far. They work perfectly and are very comfortable to wear. I would strongly recommend getting the custom molded ear pieces from your audiologist when ordered. My hearing loss is moderate to severe and these hearing aids have vastly improved my hearing. Phonak makes a superior hearing aid in my opinion.
The sound quality needs some twinking, but understandable since I've only had them 2 weeks, my only complaint is that I wish both would turn off or on manually by activating one instead of both. I like these phonak better then my Starkey's. I really like the bluetooth phone feature on these, and the capability of using the app on my phone.
I have had my hearing aids for 1 week and so far they are doing a great job. The blue tooth connection to my android phone with the built in mic allows me to answer calls with my phone left in my pocket. I find the behind the ear style both comfortable and has improved my hearing dramatticly. I would highly recommend them to family and friends!
Sound quality is fine. I have not experienced any problems with the hearing aids.. They are comfortable and most of the time I forget they are even being worn. The ability to increase or decrease volume is simple and easy to adjust when necessary. I especially like the size of the unit, both inside and out. Several people have commented to me they didn't even notice I was wearing them until I pointed them out.
My Phonak Audeo re-chargeable hearing aids are comfortable, easy to put in my ears, and has really improved the sound clarity of the TV and voices (especially high-pitched, fast talking young women). Having them link to my Android phone has made the experience a lot more fun. I get to select custom hearing programs, see battery levels, talk on my phone and best of all, have my music readily available without the use of additional headsets!
My hearing aids are working well - I have a high-frequency deficiency, and my hearing aids act as a treble boost, which makes my hearing sharper and clearer, especially while watching TV. Modern TV have their speakers behind the set which sometimes makes the hearing difficult.
I will say that the ears get a bit crowded in the COVID 19 era, wearing the aids, a face mask, and eyeglasses can be a bit cumbersome, but worthwhile with perseverence.
My hearing aids seem very durable, easy to wear, and charge well. I'm a happy customer.
Great hearing aids. Everything is good. Could not be happier. I had 2 sets of hearing aids before and quit using them because they were uncomfortable and didn't work well. Now my world has changed because I can hear! ZipHearing is easy to work with and highly recommended. This is now my go to place for hearing related solutions.
The sound quality is great. They are very very comfortable. I fell asleep with them on several times I would purchase these aids again . My Phonak Hearing Aids were an excellent purchase.
Sound quality so far is good. Unfortunately because I do not have a telecoil, I missed most of the words in a musical I saw. Comfort level is good. Not sure how to use the app and what adjustments if any I should be making under specific circumstances. Still difficult to focus on one specific person speaking out of a group.
Have Marvel M70R. Integrated easily with my S20 5G. It's great to hear the birds again. The app is easy to use but may require some modifications of your phone notifications in Settings. Would recommend them to anyone wanting to hear better and stay connected in a smartphone world.
All I got to say is these are the best I have ever bought. 1. Price 2. They did what they told me they would do. 3. Answered all my questions and were straight forward with me. 4. I have had about 6 sets of hearing aids and these out perform any of the name brands I have purchased in the past.
