Phonak Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 Hearing Aid Description & Features
Released by Phonak on November 1, 2018 the Phonak Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 falls under Phonak`s advanced technology level within the Audeo Marvel Rechargeable family. What makes the Marvel hearing aid special? Unlike most hearing aids which can only connect to iOS devices, Phonak Audeo Marvel can connect directly to either your iOS or Android smartphone or other Bluetooth® enabled phones.
As advanced technology, this hearing aid is the second best technology that Phonak has to offer, making it a great choice for individuals with casual lifestyles, who need hearing aids that can deliver great sound quality in almost all environments. For individuals who spend a significant amount of time in noisy environments, a higher technology level should be considered for better perfomance in noise.
The Phonak Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 hearing aid has 16 channels and 5 customizable programs, and that gives it the flexibility to digitally process sound in a way that sounds natural, and can also be adapted to the particular listening environment of the wearer. In addition, Audeo M70R hearing aids feature Phonak's newest sound processing algorithm, AutoSense 3.0.
The Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 is powered by a built in lithium-ion battery, which, when powered overnight, reliably delivers 24 hrs of power to the hearing aid. With a maximum potential gain of 67 SPL, the Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 is suitable for individuals with mild to severe hearing loss.
With its discreet RIC (receiver in canal) style, the Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 sits comfortably behind the ear and is hardly noticeable to the wearer or others. This hearing aid is available in 8 color choices as shown below.

Phonak Audeo Marvel Rechargeable 70 Reviews
Based on 6 User Reviews
I've only been wearing them for two weeks, so I'm sure part of my review is due to the adjustment period and "rewiring" my brain. Pros: Quite comfortable... as the day progresses I often forget I'm wearing them. High frequency response is much better/clearer; hearing conversations, music, seminars on the web, etc. Ease of use, rechargeable, Bluetooth capabilities, small "footprint", versatility. Cons: Conversations in a loud environment (restaurant, social engagement) are still a bit difficult, but that may be due to having the 70R's instead of the 90R's Overall, I'm pleased with the investment and they have improved my quality of life.
They are taking some getting used to, but I have gotten so I can't get around too well without them. Have a follow up this week to talk to the specialist about a couple of little issues. The service from zip (Grant) was very good, the price was high but much lower than getting them from my doctors office and I like the Bluetooth feature that lets me stream music and phone calls.
Pros: -The sound quality is excellent; although, I think having them fitted and programmed properly maximizes your ability to appreciate the sound quality. I heard tones in music that I probably hadn't heard in years. Direct streaming music to the hearing aids was very good. In fact I am listening to and enjoying music more than I have in years. Hearing on the phone when connected to my Android Phone was the most beneficial feature of wearing this Hearing Aid. -This HA was the smallest of all the HAs that I saw during 3 different hearing evaluations at 3 different HA Centers. I chose the champagne color because it blended well with my silver and brown hair. I don't think anyone has even noticed them. Even if someone sees them, they look like sleek modern earbuds that many people wear, not hearing aids. -They come with 2 cases, one aid in each case. However, I keep one in the bathroom to protect them while I get in the shower or use hairspray. I keep one in my purse to protect them in the event that I need to remove them while I am out and about. For example going to the hair dresser. -This model also has programming for Tinnitus. I have had so much relief from Tinnitus while wearing them. The soft almost ocean like sound is much less distracting than the Tinnitus. I think that eventually I won't even notice this background noise.
CONS- If you stream music directly to the HAs, plus talk on the phone plus watch TV with a TV streaming device for long periods, the battery may not last. That is one of the negatives of their small size is the smaller battery. However, they charge very quickly with the provided charging device and any USB cord, so that you can charge them on the go from a battery pack or the car or your laptop. -The button to adjust the volume is a bit fiddly for me as I have some dexterity issues. I think time and practice will help this.
I have only had my hearing aids for 2 weeks. I am scheduled back to see the audiologist in 2 days for my first adjustment. I am very satisfied with the comfort of the Phonak Marvel Units. The price was very good. The purchasing process was easy and straight forward.
Sound quality is great My hearing deficit is mainly around 4000k and the hearing aids sharpened the sound without being shrill. Conversation in noisy bars and restaurants is easier to understand. The Bluetooth connection works well with my phone and I enjoy making calls via the hearing aids. The hearing aids are comfortable and I hardly notice them to the point of accidentally stepping into the shower while wearing them. So far I am very happy with the hearing aids.
This is my first set of hearing aids, and there is definitely a difference between normal hearing and that which you experience through hearing aids. That is my biggest challenge. It feels like there is a constant echo, akin to what you might hear speaking through a microphone. I am still trying to get used to that. It is most prevalent when I hear myself speaking. I purchased Phonak Audeo Marvel 70R aids. I really like the rechargeable feature. There was only one time it did not recharge, and it was because I did not plug it in properly. The charge lasts all day- no complaints whatsoever. And it is fully charged rapidly. The Bluetooth connection with my iPhone 8+ is terrific. I can hear and answer calls directly through my aids, and I am also alerted to text messages that are received. This is very convenient especially when I am driving, or when my phone is in another room. The people with whom I have spoken over the phone through my aids have not experienced any difficulty understanding me, even when the phone was not nearby. There is an app called Phonak Remote through which you can make some adjustments to the sound levels. There is one thing wrong with this app I have noticed so far. In the spot where you have to select the function you are trying to manipulate, you have to choose via an "X" to select. There is no prior instruction to that effect. You have to figure it out for yourself. This is not user friendly to US customers, since "X" generally signifies to "exit" a function, not select it, in standard operating systems and apps. In general, the app does not seem very effective or efficient to me. I thought it would allow a lot more adjustments than it does, based on the marketing pamphlets that I reviewed prior to my decision to purchase the aids. I have mild to moderate hearing loss, and I am still working with my specialist to adjust the aids to best suit my needs. The aids have a feature called automatic acclimatization, which can be set to upgrade the amplification on a scheduled basis. Each day, your aids automatically adjust a little more to be closer to your target range, without having to visit the specialist in the interim. That is very convenient for me. I didn't realize that it would be such a gradual process to get to your target range, but it is probably better than trying to get used to them all at once. In general, I like the Phonak Audeo Marvel 70R aids. I anticipate looking into purchasing the TV Connector accessory, since I still have some difficulty understanding speech on TV, especially when the actors speak quickly, or have an accent. But I am now able to turn off the closed captioning on my TV, so that is a big plus to me, and it indicates to me that I am no longer struggling to understand speech on TV.
