Phonak Virto B70 Titanium Hearing Aid Description & Features

Released by Phonak on February 28, 2017 the Phonak Virto B70 Titanium falls under Phonak`s advanced technology level within the Virto B-Titanium family.

As advanced technology, this hearing aid is the second best technology that Phonak has to offer, making it a great choice for individuals with casual lifestyles, who need hearing aids that can deliver great sound quality in almost all environments. For individuals who spend a significant amount of time in noisy environments, a higher technology level should be considered for better perfomance in noise.

The Phonak Virto B70 Titanium hearing aid has 16 channels and 5 customizable programs, and that gives it the flexibility to digitally process sound in a way that sounds natural, and can also be adapted to the particular listening environment of the wearer.

The Virto B70 Titanium is powered by a size 10 battery which will need to be changed every 3-5 days. With a maximum potential gain of 60 SPL, the Virto B70 Titanium is suitable for individuals with mild to severe hearing loss.

With its discreet IIC (invisible in canal) style, the Virto B70 Titanium sits deep in the second bend of the ear canal, and with a good fitting, will be a completely invisible hearing aid. This hearing aid is available in 1 color choice (black with a titanium shell) as shown below. This hearing aid features a titanium casing which makes the shell thinner than all other Phonak hearing aids, and much stronger as well. If you've tried invisible hearing aids before and they couldn't be made small enough, or if you had reliability issues, we recommend giving the Virto B Titanium a shot.

If you have questions about the Virto B70 Titanium that you don`t find answered on this page, or are looking for specs on this device, you might want to check out the downloadable documents (below), visit Phonak`s website, or feel free to give us a call at 800-731-6794.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Phonak Virto B70 Titanium
It depends on the size of the hearing aid. Some models will be large enough to have a push-button on them, which will allow you to change the volume/program that way, but most models, like the model shown on at the top of this page, will be too small for a push-button. In this case, you can use Phonak's Mini Control (no extra cost), to adjust the hearing aid.
This hearing aid has a very unique manufacturing process, and for this reason, takes approximately 10 business days to build. Usually you will receive your hearing aids within 2 weeks of having your impression made at your local ZipHearing provider's office.
We wish! It is just too small, and therefore is not compatible with any of Phonak's wireless accessories.

After trying Listen Clear and Audicus I can tell that these Phonak Virto B70 titanium hearing aids are vastly superior. These are programmable to correct a greater degree of hearing loss than Audicus.. What is unique is that the audiologist who did the molds (which make them much easier to insert as they fit the curvature of my ear canal) and who did the original programming, set them at a low level in order to give me time to adjust to hearing at a higher level than before with the understanding that it is a simple matter to later increase the volume as necessary - levels 60, 70, 80, 90 -whereas the Listen Clear and Audicus and other hearing aids that I investigated did not have this adjustable feature which makes the initial breakin period for persons unaccustomed to hearing aids easier. I worked my way up the price ladder but found the best pricing with ZipHearing and best service. You get what you pay for.

I found the hearing aids not as good as my national health ones and no where near as good as the Signia Primax Insio 7 which I tried and purchased after giving up on the Titanium aids

On my second set as demo to decide. I previously used Starkey sound lens which, despite being 7 yes old seem to be far more advanced and perform better. Feedback has been a real problem. They can't be turned up much or they begin to squeal. Talk on a phone and they continuously squeal/feedback.

It could be due to the being CIC instead of iic asi had in the sound lens. Why my audiologist won't order the iic as I've asked is beyond me. I'm pretty sure these are going back and I'll start the process all over looking for auitiable aids.

It is working pretty well so far. I am not entirely used to having it in my ear, but hopefully that will get better. I have trouble putting it in still. I will need to get it adjusted a bit further, I do not hear as well on that side as on the right at this point. It has not done much for my tinnitus. But altogether it is better than my previous hearing aid.
