Excellent. I'm still adjusting to the remote app adjustments, but the longer I use them, the easier it becomes. Still having trouble with the larger batteries and compartment size. My eye glasses don't fit as well as I hoped behind the hearing aids. Overall, the sound sharpness and quality are much better then my previous hearing aids. .
With mixed feelings, I have decided to keep the hearing aids.
I continue to experience a few issues:
-Speech discrimination in situations involving groups, even as few as two people. One-on-one speech recognition is good to very good now because the sound is amplified.
-Speech discrimination when listening to TV group discussions involving multiple speakers, especially with female voices.
-Background noise (road noise) when listening to the car radio, but this is correctable by turning up the volume.
-Taking phone calls when holding the phone to my left ear with the left hearing device in place. Hearing loss in my left ear is much less severe overall than in the right, and I solve this problem by simply removing the device. I can then understand every single word clearly, thanks to the phone amplifier alone: Kerry my provider advised me to hold the phone not over the devise but move it up above the ear. But I prefer just removing the hearing aid temporarily.
My provider added two special programs to the standard, one for TV, the other for the car radio. Frankly, I don's see much difference. Things may improve further as I go along, but I'm not certain.
Sound quality of the Audeo B90 is acceptable. User should carefully personalize the setting with his/her audiologist for optimal use. Good noise suppression (at the 6-7/10 volume level). Comfortable wear and cosmetically good. The domes are designed to fit perfectly while preventing total occlusion of the ear canal (preventing "tunneling" of noise and sounds). Tested it with the ComPilot Sys and the sound from the mic is very clear. Haven't used the mobile device connectivity though. Price can be a drawback.
Not very happy with the Phonak Audeo B70-D hearing aids. Had two issues with them. First was the hearing aids cutting out. That was taken care of by way of a replacement. The second issue was horn beeping occasionally during the day on the same replacement hearing aid. Battery was not low. I believe it was due to moisture from sweating. I'm not sure about these aids
My B70 direct seem very reliable and durable. Very pleased with the quality. The professionalism of the staff was great. They really helped me and I would recommend them highly. The audiologist that I was referred to was very professional, patient, and answered all my questions thoroughly. It was a great experience.
On my second set as demo to decide. I previously used Starkey sound lens which, despite being 7 yes old seem to be far more advanced and perform better. Feedback has been a real problem. They can't be turned up much or they begin to squeal. Talk on a phone and they continuously squeal/feedback.
It could be due to the being CIC instead of iic asi had in the sound lens. Why my audiologist won't order the iic as I've asked is beyond me. I'm pretty sure these are going back and I'll start the process all over looking for auitiable aids.
Sound quality on the B50 Directs is great and I enjoy how the phone app allows me to modify the settings depending on the environment I'm in. I waited a long time for someone to provide a hearing aid that connects directly to my Android phone without the need of a 3rd device I would need to wear around my neck. It was worth the wait! I can hear my phone ring and carry on a phone conversation through my hearing aid effortlessly. Thanks!
Sound quality is much better, although I did not get the latest technology. The customer service was outstanding, although it is 20 miles from my home, north of Dallas. I am also impressed with the extended warranty. The audiologist provided good advice and clear instructions for regular upkeep of the hearing aids. They are comfortable to wear, and the batter life is better than I expected.
The sound quality of my Phonak B70 Directs is great. I had the Audeo Smart 5 previously and the sound quality is better with my new B70 Directs. The auto program is also much better. The AutoSense OS always seems to correct for the environment. I have three other programs also; Speech in noise, Comfort in noise and Music. I like the direct feature. I use it with my smartphone to change volume and programs. With the direct feature I can answer my phone using my hearing aids.
I have been wearing the Phonak Audeo B70 RIC hearing aid for 7 days, it is very comfortable and after a couple days putting on and removing it took a few days but now very easy. I had problems hearing High pitch sounds mainly female and children speaking. My hearing aid made it possible to hear the high pitch voices and noise, they became crisp and clear. The improvement needed is when with a group of people,at a restaurant, family parties ETC
