Widex Evoke 440 Fusion Reviews
Based on 13 User Reviews
I am a long time Widex hearing aid wearer and have been chomping at the bit to purchase new Widex hearing aids but the Beyond line was not unique enough from my pair of Unique 330 receiver in canal hearing aids I've worn since 2014. Eager to upgrade to the Beyond when they were first released, I held off, as I couldn't justify spending thousands on a new set JUST to get the added iphone functionality that came with Beyond. When Evoke came out a few weeks ago, I knew this was time to make the upgrade and could finally justify it, and the change has been tremendous. Now I have direct to Iphone hearing aids AND machine learning though I'm not prepared to tell you what good the latter does...maybe in time? Or maybe I'm just not smart enough :) But these hearing aids are! Birdsong on my Evoke 440s is clearer than ever, all sounds are BRIGHT, yet balance, full, I don't know how to describe it...well rounded? Natural. I am hearing better than ever at church, at restaurants, outdoors, on the golf course.I am a happy camper with these Evokes and am telling all my friends to give them a whirl. Pricey, yes, but worth their weight in gold, which also probably happens to be around what I paid for these gizmos. Highly recommend, hats off to Widex on the Evoke!!!
Just ordered a pair after a trail demonstration. Wow! I could pick my specialists voice out clearly from crowd background noise without reading lips! She played music from her phone to the hearing aids wirelessly, and when she spoke I could hear both clearly and with ease. Check out the phone APP on Google play, or iPhone app store. The ability to quickly and easily change settings and listening profiles is awesome. I could set these to work well in a factory, auditorium, restaurant, funeral home, or concert! IT'S DYNAMIC!
The sound quality of my Evoke 440 hearing aids is excellent. They are so comfortable I forget I am wearing them. Their interface with my iPhone is a huge benefit for phone calls and audiobooks and podcasts. Best of all, the people I talk with on calls have no complaints about the quality of my voice, which they did with my previous lavalier blue tooth device that interfaced between my iPhone and Widex hearing aids. As a result of the poor voice quality, I didn’t use the old device much.
Although I have only had them for 2 week I can tell you they are a great improvement. From the first day I felt the quality of the sound and comfort. I hardly knew I had them on. My old pair kept me aware the were on and constantly needed adjustments. What a difference it is going out to a noisy restaurant. Not 100% but so much better. I can adjust the sound so I can be a part of the conversation and not have to ask “what” or to have the waiter repete. It still spooks me when me phone rings in my ear or the sound from a video on my iPad come on. What a help when driving using my phone gps and the voice comes through my aids. I love it
I got my Widex 440 hearing aids on September 6, 2018. I have used them in a variety of environments including a bar with music, crowded restaurant, outdoor music festival, car, home, and others. I am thrilled. They are reasonably comfortable and have improved my ability to understand people talking drastically. I also like the I phone app that allows me to customize although I've found little need.
The Evoke 440 are very comfortable to wear. We are stilll fine tuning them but I have confidence that we will get them dialed in and I can fine tune them with the app after that. Overall very satisfied with the aids.
Aamzing how transformative being able to hear the things you didn't know you were missing. I tried some hearing aids ten years ago and the sound was not natural. The Widex Evoke 440 have excellent sound quality as well as the ability to adjust according to situation using your phone. Love them!
The sound quality is great improvement. Right hearing aid comes out when chewing. Directional focus Left disappears when program is running. Have to reboot to get Left back. Evoke lets me adjust hearing in public places, which is a great improvement. I have recommended Widex Evoke and my ZipHearing provider to several of my friends that have had bad experiences with other hearing aid devices.
I bought the Widex Fusion 2s about 2 weeks ago, they are my first hearing aids. These are the behind the ear model. My hearing quality before the aids was 'profoundly impaired" with a 60db roll off on the right ear and a 40 roll off on the left ear both roll offs at frequencies above 8K hz. The improvement in hearing is quite good - some tuning by the audiologist is always needed. The functionality (connection to phone via blue tooth) is super great - you can answer calls without lifting the phone to your ear and Siri comes over the phone for directions and you can stream music. Comfort is good (not great) I had ear molds done and the fittings are made out of harder plastic - I'm looking for a place to do the soft ear mold inserts. There are softer inserts available if you don't want the ear mold versions. There are many functions you can adjust and you can save favorite settings for different environments which is vey handy. SO far so good. They are very expensive but I can hear things I haven't heard in years. My family is glad I got them so they don't have to repeat as much.
Sound quality is generally quite good. I find that sometimes they are amplifying other annoying sounds that I don't need to amplify. And there are still some instances when conversations are not full intelligible. But all in all they are working fairly well. I am still in my trial period so will make a final determination in the next week or two.
Took a walk with my wife on a very windy day. Halfway I realized we were talking very comfortably in that setting. I would have had to remove my Oticon Alta pro HAs, in that wind. I am into them one week, still a trial. Sound Sense Learn program has much potential. Would prefer a little more functionality on the Com-Dex. Battery life on Com-dex is 1/2 of Oticon Streamer pro, but Com-dex is 1/2 the size (nice) and fast re-charge. I have been Oticon for several generations. Thought I would dismiss the Evoke in two days of trial. That is NOT the case. So far they are well "Beyond" :) my expectations. Will gauge them against Oticon OPN for a fair comparison.
Excellent sound, very clean in what I want to focus on. Very confortable, reliable and durable. I have no complaints, it's the best hearing aids I've ever had. The experience for the 8 days I have is wonderful, it's more than I espected. The app is very funcional for especific sound I whant to listen. Thank very much for the experience!
My hearing aids are much better than the pair that has been replaced. The app process was a bit confusing and the manufacturer customer service lacks in service, though. The different settings will be interesting - I am not sure yet how that will be and I look forward to learning. It will be nice to hear better than I have been.
