Hearing Aid Description & Features

Every once in a while, a hearing aid comes along that challenges the status quo- that goes against the grain and attempts to do something that's never been done before.

That is the story of ReSound ONE.

For more than a decade, the physical build of the most popular style receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aid, has remained relatively unchanged.

Sure, design technology has improved- they've become more water and dust proof, they're available in more colors, and designs have become more sleek, but the core build and logic behind the hearing aid has not changed, until now.

ReSound ONE is the first hearing in the world to add a microphone on the receiver (speaker) which fits inside the ear. That means (like traditional RIC hearing aids), there are 2 microphones on the hearing aid itself which sits behind the ear, but now there's also a third, at the opening of the ear canal.

Why would ReSound do this?

Adding an additional microphone at the ear canal opening allows wearers to localize sound better and tell the direction from which sound is coming. As one might expect, adding this additional microphone helps wearers hear in a way that is more natural, and more similar to the natural ear in it's ability to funnel sound into the ear canal.

The logic is solid, and the customer response has been overwhelmingly positive. Will this be something that's adopted industry-wide? It's too early to tell, but it doesn't appear that it's something that will only last on this generation of ReSound hearing aids.

The unit pictured above is the ReSound ONE rechargeable hearing aid, but this aid can also be ordered with a disposable size 13 battery, or a smaller size 312 battery.

The ReSound ONE 9 is ReSound's best hearing aid, they call it their "ultimate" technology level. If you lead an active lifestyle and demand the utmost in performance from your hearing aids, ONE 9 is an easy choice.

It's a premium hearing aid, so inline with all the other major manufacturers, it offers 17 channels, and 4 customizable programs. That means this hearing aid can be precisely fine-tuned by your hearing care provider to match your hearing needs and lifestyle perfectly.

While most wearers will use ONE hearing aids with a silicone dome like shown in the image above, this aid may be worn with a custom earmold from ReSound, which would then make it a suitable choice for individuals with severe hearing loss.

Frequently Asked Questions
One is Made for iPhone, which means it can connect directly with iPhones to stream music, phone calls, and more. One is also compatible with the new Android protocal, Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA), allowing direct streaming from select Android devices with Android 10 and Bluetooth 5.0. If your phone isn't directly compatible with One, you can still get Bluetooth functionality via the Phone Clip +.
Only via the Phone Clip + accessory. When talking on the phone (even without the Phone Clip +), you'll hear the caller's voice streamed through both hearing aids (as long as your phone is Bluetooth compatible with the aids). But in order for the caller to hear your voice, you'll have to either hold your phone to your mouth as you normally do, or keep the Phone Clip + clipped to your shirt collar or worn around your neck, so the caller can you hear via the microphone on that accessory.
No. To stream audio from the TV you'll need the Unite TV 2 streamer.
With no streaming, your battery will last an industry best 30 hours. With streaming, 25 hrs.
Your rechargeable batteries should last a little over 4 years. At the end of that period, your hearing provider will have to send them in to ReSound to get the battery replaced. We expect that cost to be around $150-$250 per hearing aid.
A few minutes before the battery dies, you'll hear Beethoven's Fifth (dun-dun-dun-dun) through the hearing aids, letting you know it's time to charge your hearing aids.
The standard charger that comes with all orders can provide 8 hours of power with just a 30 minute quick charge. If you're always on-the-go and have long days, it's best to buy the Premium charger, because that charger stores 3 full days of charges, allowing you to pull reserve power from it in case you don't have access to electricity.
Your hearing aids are fully charged in 3 hours, providing 25-30 hours of use. A 30 minute quick charge provides 8 hours of power.
It does not. If you living in a humid environment or are concerned about moisture, we recommend buying the ReSound Dry-Aid Jar, which uses desiccant to remove moisture.
Using either the pushbutton on the hearing aid, or either of ReSound's (2) remote controls, you can adjust the volume and program. Using the app, you can control volume, program, and base and treble.
If you use the rechargeable model, press and hold the onboard rockerswitch's bottom button down for 3 seconds to turn it on or off. Or, simply place the hearing aid in the charger. If you use a model with disposable batteries, opening the battery door will turn it off, and closing it will turn it on.
Yes, but in order for it to work your hearing aids must've been paired to your phone before they were lost. The app will show where the hearing aids were located when they were last connected to the app, and what time it was.
No. None of the ONE models are CROS compatible.
The RIE 62 model comes with a telecoil, the others do not.
Accessories & Smartphone Apps
Standard Charger (included)

This is the charger that comes with all ReSound ONE rechargeable orders. Fully charges hearing aids in 3 hours, providing 24 hours of power. A quick charge takes 30 minutes and will provide 8 hours of power.

Smart 3D App

Take control of your hearing aids. Adjust sound settings such as volume, program, base, treble, and even create custom programs based on specific listening environments. Use the app to find your hearing aids if you lose them, check the status of your rechargeable battery, and provide soothing sounds for tinnitus relief. In some cases, your hearing provider can even make remote adjustments to your hearing aids through the app.

Premium Charger ($199)

It's the standard charger, but with it's own built-in battery that stores 3 full charges. This reserve power is handy if you need to charge your hearing aids but don't have access to electricity. Fully charges hearing aids in 3 hours, providing 24 hours of power. A quick charge takes 30 minutes and will provide 8 hours of power.

TV Streamer 2: $379

Plug it into the back of your TV or soundbar and the audio will be streaned directly to your hearing aids. Others can keep the TV at their preferred volume level, while you set your own volume via the app or on the hearing aids themselves, or on using the buttons on the actual TV streamer device.

Phone Clip +: $259

This is a Bluetooth streamer that allows you to stream audio from your phone to your hearing aids. If you have an iPhone, you don't need this, because iPhones directly stream to ReSound hearing aids. If you have an Android or any other phone and you want to stream from your phone, you need this. Even if you have an iPhone, it still may make sense to get this, because it does allow for hands free phone calls. Wear it around your neck and the microphone picks up your voice for the person on the other end of the call to hear, so you don't have to hold you the phone to your mouth when speaking. The streamer also doubles as a basic remote control, allowing you to change the volume and programs of your hearing aids.

Multi Mic: $359

All the functionality of the Micro Mic, but with the added benefit of also working as a table microphone. When placed horizontally on a table or flat surface, it'll pick up the voices of multiple speakers and stream them directly to your hearing aids.

Micro Mic: $269

If you have a hard time hearing in noise this accessory is a lifesaver. Attach this microphone to a companion's shirt and their voice will stream directly to your hearing aids. Their voice will come through much stronger than all the competing noise in the environment.

Remote Control 2: $239

You probably don't need this. Most people use the app to control their hearing aids, and if not the app, then the push button on the hearing aid itself. But if neither of those suit you, this remote is a simple way to control the volume and program, with a helpful display screen so you can easily see your hearing aid settings.

Remote Control 3: $239

Adjust the volume and program of your ReSound hearing aids easily and discreetly. The simple keypad style design features large buttons, which are concave, tactile, and ergonomic. The buttons have raised symbols in the center, so they are easy to locate and glide a finger over. The standard CR2032 Lithium coin cell battery is widely available and easy to replace.

Control App

If you have an iPhone or Android, you don't need this app. If you have any other phone and you wish to use an app to control your hearing aid volume and program settings, this is the app for you. The Phone Clip + accessory is required for use with this app.

VERIFIED BUYER | Libertyville, IL ?

I ordered the ReSound One 9R hearing aids which had clearer sound and little background noise. I still felt the clarity was not enough when in a group the streaming to my phone was not so clear. The audiologist increased the clarity to the max and put a different dome or receiver on the hearing aids. This made me feel like there was an echo under some circumstances and like I was wearing ear plugs. My hearing borders on profound loss in some areas and I'm not sure what will be better for me, but I felt that for the money I should be able to hear better and more comfortably.

I got the new Resound One M&RIE 90 hearing aids and as a first time wearer I love them. Everything sounds very natural and they even do a great job in a noisy environment like a restaurant, where I can hear clearly without a lot of background noise. I definitely give these Resound Hearing Aids a Five Star Plus rating.

Disappointed that the heavily advertised marie receivers will not work for my hearing loss. Overall I am satisfied with my one 9s, regular battery model, but was really looking forward to trying maries. Should be made for clear in adverts that it won't work for severe cases.

ReSound ONE 9 is my first hearing aid I've ever bought, so bear in mind that I have nothing to compare the ONE 9 to. Having said that, the pair of ONE hearing aids have made a huge difference in my everyday life. I bought the premium ONE 9 aid in hopes that once covid clears it'll help me in restaurants and noisy places since that is where I struggle the most. But for now, just wearing them around the home, on walks (I can hear the birds!) has been a huge improvement and frankly, blessing in my life. I have no complaints with the battery life, simply put them in the charger each night and at end of day I still have more than enough charge left for several more hours of use. I understand these li-ion batteries do go down over time, so maybe that won't last, but for now I'm one happy camper, as that was a big concern. I have friends who own the RESOUND linx model with rechargeable batteries and they have had terrible luck and had to stop using rechargeable batteries altogether. So, glad these are holding up thus far and optimistic they will continue to do so. As another review stated, Bluetooth has issues from time to time, but honestly all of my Bluetooth devices do, from my landscape lighting to Alexa...just goes with the territory for. All in all very satisfied!

5 stars IF they had better feedback suppression. I'm pleased with the hearing aids, but I am displeased that I'm going to have to use standard receivers, not the marie receivers, bc my hearing loss is just past the acceptable threshold to wear the marie receivers without feedback. With maries, just an inordinate amount of whistling, it's too bad, and I hope that one day the maries can handle a more severe hearing loss.

Excellent sound quality and build quality. TV streaming with optional streaming device is excellent. Microphone in ear provides additional sound detail and directionality. No issues with rechargeable batteries. Iphone app with multiple listening programs is very convenient and each program can be adjusted to suit local environment. Covid-19 has greatly restricted social interaction but I am sure performance will be excellent in restaurants, concerts and crowded venues. Due to the products complexity there is a learning curve but well worth the effort. Overall I am extremely pleased with the purchase and highly recommend this product.

This is my first experience with hearing aids so I have nothing to compare to, with that being said, I am very pleased with the quality of the ReSound Hearing Aid. This aid has checked off all my boxes; I can have conversation again, hear on land line telephones and hear the television.

The sound quality is unbelievable compared to my first pair which my new pair replaced due to having lost one of them. The clarity is unbeatable and they have been extremely comfortable since I picked them up on Dec.21st. I have not had any problems since then. The ease of using my smart phone with the new pair has been a definite plus.

Excellent sound quality. A significant improvement over my previous aids. The aids are easy to adjust from my phone and most importantly I don't have to keep asking my wife "What did you just say".

I tried the Resound One 9 for about 30 days and was not satisfied so I returned them. ZipHearing was excellent to deal with and quickly returned my purchase price ; no excuses, no delays.

The HA's are not as quality sounding as My Phonak Marvels in spite of the local hearing specialist continued trying to make adjustments. It became obvious that, had I kept them, I would never have been happy with them.

The MARIE microphone is an excellent innovation that just needs more work; it does not work for everyone because of differences in the size of ear canals, and other problems. It did provide excellent directional sound because of the mike in the ear canal.

Resound simply could not provide the quality of sound that other HA's do.

Enjoying my ReSound One 9 hearing aids and I can definitely tell that it is easier to hear where sound is coming from, thanks to the M&RIE receivers. A few Bluetooth glitches here and there, losing connection with my iPhone, but I understand all hearing aids have these issues, based on my research.

Ahhhhh, yes, I love my Resound 9 One hearing aids. The first time I had them on, I cried! I couldn't believe I could hear again! And I was hearing sounds I hadn't heard ever heard too! (I had mild hearing loss as a child). I had been so depressed and isolated. These hearing aids have made all the difference!!! They're lightweight, easy to put in, easy to care for.
