Hearing Aid Description & Features

Oticon Xceed 1 is arguably the best hearing aid for wearers with severe-to-profound hearing loss.

It has unique bragging rights as the most powerful hearing aid in the world.

Xceed is available in either an SP (super power) or UP (ultra power) model.

The UP model provides an astonishing 87dB of gain, while the SP provides 83dB. The UP model is noticeably larger and powered by a large 675 battery, while the SP model is powered by a size 13 battery. There is currently no rechargeable Xceed model.

Both models have separate push buttons for programs and volume for easy usage and control. They both come with IP68-certification for water and dust resistance, and are equipped with a telecoil.

Oticon Xceed is allows for easy wireless connectivity to Apple devices, allowing wearers to stream audio, such as phone calls and music, directly to Xceed hearing aids.

In addition, Xceed is compatible with Oticon's entire line of wireless accessories such as TV streamer and remote microphones.

Xceed can only be used with regular earhooks, as shown in the image above, and custom earmolds are necessary in order to take full advantage of the power this hearing aid provides.

Frequently Asked Questions
Xceed is Made for iPhone, which means it can connect directly with iPhones to stream music, phone calls, and more. If you don't have an iPhone, you can still get Bluetooth functionality via the ConnectClip accessory.
Only via the ConnectClip accessory. You'll hear the caller's voice streamed through your hearing aids, but in order for them to hear you, you'd have to either hold the phone to your mouth, or if you want hands-free calling, clip the ConnectClip to your shirt and talk into that. The ConnectClip has a microphone on it that will pick up your voice for the caller, allowing you to keep the phone in your pocket/purse, etc.
No. To stream audio from the TV you'll need the TV Adapter 3.0
Depending on a number of factors, the size 13 battery should last about 5-6 days, and the 675 will get you a day or two more.
A few hours before the battery dies, you'll hear three steady beeps. This will usually happen a few times. Then, right before the battery dies, you'll hear four descending tones.
No. Most people can change these batteries just fine. However, if you're concerned about difficulty changing batteries, talk to your hearing provider to see if the Xceed UP 675 will work for you. That battery is the largest size you can get and will be the easiest of all sizes to change.
You can control the volume and program of this hearing aid using the onboard rockerswitch, Remote Control 3.0, or the app. If you use the app, you can also control background noise reduction and tinnitus relief sounds.
To turn the hearing aid on, simply close the battery door. Opening the battery door will turn the hearing aid off.
Yes. However, in order to use this feature, you wouldn've had to have setup the app and paired your hearing aids to your phone, prior to losing them. Once the hearing aids have been paired, if you lose them, the app will help you locate them, so long as the hearing aids are powered on. If the hearing aids are powered off, or if their batteries have died, the app will show you the last location of the hearing aids when they were powered on.
Yes, both Xceed models are compatible with the Oticon CROS device. Note that Oticon's CROS device is a receiver-in-canal (RIC) style device, as opposed to the Xceed, which is a BTE.
Yes, both Xceed models come with a telecoil.
Accessories & Smartphone Apps
ConnectClip: $225

ConnectClip has two features. First, it's most commonly used as a Bluetooth streamer that allows you to stream audio from your phone to your hearing aids. If you have an iPhone, you don't need this, because iPhones stream directly to Oticon hearing aids. If you have an Android or any other phone and you want to stream from your phone, you need this. Even if you have an iPhone, it still may make sense to get this, because it does allow for hands free phone calls. Wear it around your neck and the microphone picks up your voice for the person on the other end of the call to hear, so you don't have to hold you the phone to your mouth when speaking. The second feature of ConnectClip is its ability to work as a remote microphone. If you have a hard time hearing in noise this accessory is a lifesaver. Attach the ConnectClip to a companion's shirt and their voice will stream directly to your hearing aids. Their voice will come through much stronger than all the competing noise in the environment.

TV Adapter 3.0: $229

Plug it into the back of your TV or soundbar and the audio will be streaned directly to your hearing aids. Others can keep the TV at their preferred volume level, while you set your own volume via the app or on the hearing aids themselves.

Remote Control 3.0: $179

You probably don't need this. Most people use the app to control their hearing aids, and if not the app, then the push button on the hearing aid itself. But if neither of those suit you, this remote is a simple way to control the volume and program.

Oticon ON App

Take control of your hearing aids. Use the app to control settings like volume, program, background noise reduction and tinnitus relief sounds. Locate your hearing aids if you've lost them. Track valuable information on your hearing aid use, like wear time, and battery life.
