Styletto IX hearing aids are Bluetooth compatible and are designated as MFi (Made for iPhone). This means Styletto IX can directly stream phone calls, music, and more, from iPhones and iPads. These hearing aids also support direct streaming to any Android devices that is ASHA-supported ,and you an see a list of those devices on Signia's website. Styletto IX hearing aids are also Auracast-ready. Auracast is a technology that allows audio broadcasting from a source device to multiple receiver devices over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This technology can enable public venues, like airports or theaters, to broadcast audio directly to compatible hearing aids, earbuds, or headphones. At the current time Auracast is a new technology and there are few broadcasting devices being using, but once more devices support Auracast broadcasting, these Styletto IX hearing aids will be able to receive their signals.

KEY FEATURES
1. Dome
The dome slips over and encloses/protects the receiver/speaker. Domes are made with medical-grade silicone. They come in different shapes and sizes—your hearing care professional will help you pick the right size and style. Signia also has the option of using what they call “Sleeves” instead of domes, which are essentially just a longer, conical shaped dome, do a google search for “Signia sleeves” to see pictures of these. Selecting the appropriate dome or sleeve will change the sound performance of your hearing aids, so if you’re not achieving satisfying results with your hearing aids, your hearing provider will often consider trying a different dome style. In some cases, such as for wearers with severe or profound hearing loss, an earmold will be used instead of a dome.
2. Microphone
The microphone picks up the sound from the environment and sends it into the hearing aid for processing. You’ll mostly want to leave the microphone alone, but periodically check it to ensure it’s not being plugged up by hair care products or oils.
3. Receiver
The receiver AKA speaker delivers the sound into the ear. Signia Styletto receivers are available in 3 different strengths, standard (S), moderate (M), power (P). Your ZipHearing provider will help you determine the appropriate gain (strength/power) receiver based on the results of your hearing test. Expect to have to replace your receivers every year or so, and this is something that usually takes just a few minutes with your local ZipHearing provider.
4. Receiver wire
This thin, plastic-coated wire transmits power and signals to the receiver/speaker, which is worn inside the ear. Signia receivers are available in 5 different lengths: 0,1,2,3 & 4. Your ZipHearing provider will help you determine the appropriate length of receiver wire, by measuring your ear. In cases when your ZipHearing provider is unsure of the exact receiver length that will work best for you, we’re happy to send out a few different receiver lengths for you to try.
5. Rechargeable battery
Signia developed Styletto with a narrow, pin-shaped battery, allowing the hearing aid to take on a sleek and slim design, while still offering between 16-19 hours/day of battery. A full charge takes about 4 hrs and will provide 16-19 hrs of power. A 30 minute charge will get you 5.5 hours of power. The standard charger that comes with Styletto hearing aids also features a built-in lithium-ion battery which can store 4 full charges, so in the event you don't have access to electricity, you can still charge your hearing aids by pulling the reserve battery from the case. The charger case can be charged via USB, or Qi wireless charging technology, enabling you to simply place the charger on a charging pad instead of having to plug it in.
6. Water resistant
Styletto hearing aids have an IP68 rating, meaning they’re protected from dust getting inside and can withstand exposure to water, though caution around water is highly recommended.

When it comes to maintaining your hearing aids, this is where you’ll spend most of your time. The wax filter (mostly) prevents wax and oils from getting into the receiver/speaker. Your hearing provider may supply you with Signia Nanocare 3.0 wax guards enabling you to periodically change these on your own.
