Hearing Aid Description & Features
Arguably the best hearing aid on the market right now, Paradise 90 is the newest from Phonak.
Paradise 90 was released on August 19, 2020, and follows the enormously successful Phonak Marvel 90, which was Phonak's (and our), best selling hearing aid for 2 years.
Paradise comes with a handful of improvements over the Marvel- the most notable include Bluetooth connectivity to more devices, onboard motion sensors, "air tap" functionality, and a new operating system.
Paradise 90 is the highest technology level that Phonak offers, so if you demand the absolute best, this is the hearing aid for you.
The model pictured above is the P90R, and it features a built in lithium-ion rechargeable battery, which, when powered overnight, reliably delivers 24 hrs of power to the hearing aid. This hearing aid is also available for $100 less with a disposable size 13 battery which will need to be changed every 7-10 days, or a size 312 battery which will need to changed weekly.
Although most people wear this hearing aid "open-fit" with the little silicone dome as shown in the picture above, this hearing aid can be worn with a custom earmold from Phonak, which will then make this hearing aid suitable for individuals with severe hearing loss.
For the time being, Paradise comes only in the RIC (receiver-in-canal) form factor. This is our best selling style, the most popular worldwide, and will be the most comfortable when worn- hardly noticeable to most wearers.
It's available in 7 color choices (see below).

Frequently Asked Questions
Accessories & Smartphone Apps
Charger Case Combi (Included)
This is the standard charger that comes with all rechargeable hearing aids. Fully charges your hearing aids in 3 hrs, providing 24 hours of power. A quick charge of 30 minutes will provide 6 hours of power. There's also a compartment inside that has room for dessicant, which helps dry out the hearing aids overnight. Dessicant doesn't come standard with orders from Phonak. If you want it, please specify at the time you order .
Mini Charger Case: $79
The Phonak Mini Charger Case, with standard USB-C charging outlet, is a compact charger for two Audéo M-R hearing aids.
TV Connector: $249
Plug it into the back of your TV or soundbar and the audio will be streaned directly to your hearing aids. Others can keep the TV at their preferred volume level, while you set your own volume via the app, on the hearing aids themselves, or via the + or - buttons on the TV connector.
If you have a hard time hearing in noise this accessory is a lifesaver. Attach this microphone to a companion's shirt and their voice will stream directly to your hearing aids. Their voice will come through much stronger than all the competing noise in the environment.
You probably don't need this. Most people use the app to control their hearing aids, and if not the app, then the push button on the hearing aid itself. But if neither of those suit you, this remote is a simple way to control the volume and program.
Take control of your hearing aids. Adjust settings like volume, programs, frequencies, and noise cancellation. See information about your hearing aids, like battery charge and wear time statistics. In some cases, you can even connect with your hearing provider for remote adjustments to your hearing aids.
myCall-to-Text phone App
Have a hard time hearing on the phone? This app allows you to read, in real time, what the person on the other end of the phone is saying.

Magnificent. I was trialing the Phonak Marvel 90s when I got word that the Paradise had just been released. I was more than happy with the Marvels, but I'm somehow even happier with the Paradise. As shown in the video review on this page, the Bluetooth is FAR superior, I've never lost connection with my Galaxy S10, listening to podcasts on my morning walks and still hearing surrounding environmental sounds is awesome. Overall sound quality is amazing. Can't believe I waited this long to experience better hearing. I am kicking myself for not doing this sooner.
Overall, it's a good hearing aid, but it has it's issues. I use an iPhone and cannot get Bluetooth to work reliably, drops my connection from time to time for no apparent reason. I have also found that when I am watching TV and I make an adjustment via my app to the sound settings, I will get a text message or any other notification on my phone, and immediately the hearing aid moves away from the TV program and into the autosense program, so I have to then go into the app again and make more adjustments. Not really happy with this feature it does not seem very user friendly.
i am using the phonac paradise 90's. they sound as good as my samsung earbuds and feel comfortable all day. the bluetooth availability allows me access to my phone, my pc, my 2 smart tv's, and my amazin fire tab. phone is quite audible and clear. i feel my hearing is better after my resound link 2's were wearing at 5 yrs and wouldn't pair with my new galaxy note 20 phone
These new Phonak behind the ear hearing aids are significantly better than my previous older models. To me the difference is the improvement of clarity of speech over the back ground noise. I hear individual words clearer and that means the world to me!
Hearing aids purchased were the Phonak Paradise. - Sound quality excellent. Was listening to Pandora in my car, from my paired phone and then switch to Sirius radio, I could not tell the difference between music going through my aids and not going through my aids. - I can switch from listening to music to answering my phone and vice versa; all with a tap to the ear. - The rechargeable battery is very convenient. Now I do not have to carry extra batteries around. I charge them in the evening and put them on in the morning. No hassle. - Answering my cell phone is great, since it is now connected to the aids. The sound quality is exceptional. - I am also aware of the motion of people on my peripheral. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase of these new updated hearing aids. Thanks Jeff and team for your help.
The hearing aids I selected at the local provider are by Phonak, P90R, and are far and away better than the ones I had been using. The sound quality is extraordinary, whether I am listening to music or the TV, or conversing with someone. The software in them does all the work of adapting to changing sound environments.
Excellent sound quality, The blue tooth is very good never loses connection. The phone and text features are a big plus! The size is great very small most can not see them.
The Phonak Paradise is exceeding my expectattions. In the lower tones, which were normal, still come through and sound the same. The higher tone loss can now be heard and sounds just as natural. This is not simple amplifier but a sophisticated machine. I’m still learning all the features.
The sound quality of my new hearing aids is absolutely amazing. I guess I didn't realize how much I was missing before. The blue tooth feature and rechargeable function make these the best you will find on the market. Last but not least, Zip Hearing is responsive. They responded to my inquiry within 30 minutes and I was connected to a fantastic local provider. Can't go wrong with the quality of service and products provided. I highly recommend Zip Hearing.
The Phonak Audeo Paradise hearing aids are phenomenal. The sound quality is nothing short of amazing and the mobile app and blue tooth connectivity is incredibly useful. This is my second pair in a relatively short period of time (I returned the others) and would strongly recommend both Phonak and Zip to anyone in need.
The sound is very good and the service and price was excellent. Connection to my Galaxy was perfect, bluetooth works perfect, phone calls sound great. Programing and App works very well.
The sound quality for these hearing aids is great! I'm hearing a lot better now. I had no idea what I was missing before I got them! And once I figured out how to wear them, I hardly even notice that they're there.
They will not stay connected to the Phonak App, which means I cannot utilize any of the features of the aids such as changing programs, adjusting volume, choosing clarity over comfort, etc. I have an iPhone 11. I have been able to get them to reconnect by doing one or more of the following, pair and unpair the aids. delete and reinstall the app, turn the phone on and off, etc. The solution to the reconnection issue is not always the same. It reminds me of the early days of getting an internet connection. You feel like you won a prize when you got a connection. I really like the quality of the sound they provide but if I cannot connect they are not worth the investment.
I like them a lot they make a huge difference. Saying that though are they worth the money or the ones that do almost the same thing cheaper on line a better value I don't know. Is all the technology working that I paid for I don't know. How can you tell. My suggestion on your first pair get the cheapest type that will do the job then go to the high tech stuff so you know if there is a difference later.
Based on considerable experience with hearing aids, I would rate my Phonak P-90s as the very best quality. I tried a level below for a couple of weeks and I'm very satisfied with my upgrade.
I rate the sound quality at 8 out of 10. I wore top of the line Beltone (MIRE) and Oticon for 30 days each previously. However, my observations are very subjective and not scientific. I have not been able to evaluate hearing aids in noisy restaurant environments. I think that the sound is very adequate for my needs. There are connectivity issues that must be learned and managed. They are not "trouble free" in this regard. These issues apply to both the hearing aids and the phone app. I'm hoping this improves with time. I LOVE the hands free "tapping" feature, for phone calls, Siri and streaming; "when it works". I like the phone app and the ease of adjustments via that route. There is an occasional mild to severe static issue which is very annoying. I am pairing with an iphone 12. My call to Phonak for help was VERY positive! These aids are very comfortable in my ears. I am on trial and will probably keep in spite of the negatives. I assume that Phonak will work to improve problem areas. I am willing to accept the hearing qualities and work with the issues because I am so happy with the "hands free" feature.
New P90 is having some bluetooth connection problems as I updated my iphone to version 14 just before buying P90. Before I had M90 that was working fine with version 13 so I do not know BT connection problem is due to P90 or new version of iphone.
They are relatively comfortable. Occasionally make my ears itch. Still trying to get them fine turned. Provider has been very helpful and patient helping me get through the nuances of being a new hearing aid wearer.
The sound quality is great, though it took a resetting of the left hearing aid. I am very pleased with them and know that I received one of the best prices available.
Quality is great. The aids are comfortable and easily adjustable using the phone app.
My new Phonak hearing aids have been great since I received them. They are extremely comfortable. The sound quality is much better in noisy environments than my old hearing aids. I'm very happy with the auto adjusting technology. I wish the battery life was a little longer, but these are worth the sacrifice.
The sound quality is good. It's still in the adjustment period, but my sense is there are enough controls that as the provider tunes them in they will be as good as my IICs were. I'm not a fan of RIC, because I wear glasses and occasionally need to use a Bluetooth headset and the RICs are not ideal in that context. Otherwise, they are comfortable and almost invisible. The Phonak mobile app (Android) seems better than the apps for other manufacturers, but it has lots of room for improvement. The tap control is very handy. However, losing a setting every time there is a sound notification is really annoying.
The sound quality on these Phonak aides is supurb! I am very happy with the bluetooth capability and ability to customize the hearing in various settings. I have a low frequency loss and notice that the ability to adjust for the bass is very helpful.
Sound quality is much better than the old aids I had. I had trouble with the little rubber domes hurting my ear after few days. Got smaller domes and was better, but had trouble keeping them seated in place. After having custom fitted molds made, the sound is clearer now, and I can tell when they are in place. I do have a small issue with the sound increasing on it's own for a bit, and then fading back down, but I'll have them adjusted on the next follow up visit.
This is my 2nd set of Phonak hearing aids. They are state of the art... Sound quality is great and controls are very flexible. Directly (with TV Connect) connect to my sound system in my home and, when I’m camping, in my motorhome connecting to its sound system & TVs. Tapping my ear for control of these Phonak Paradise hearing aids is very handy and simple. The IOS app on my phone flexibility is superb. The PartnerMic is great on the noisy road in my motorhome.
Have had them for only a week. We are still working to get the adjustment right. The issues I am having can be addressed but will take a little time and patience on my part. Having some trouble using the t-coil function.
My new Phonak Paradise hearing aids. Sound quality is much better than my older hearing aids. More convenient features like play/pause audio streaming, google assistant. Streaming/calling hands free directly from android phone without any accessories. The only major con is non wireless charging like in Signia hearing aids. Overall superb hearing aids, recommend them!
These P90s are my third Phonaks and definitely the best so far. Sound is clearer and adjustment to situations is quick and efficient. Nice to have rechargables too.
Now into the 3rd week of using the Phonak Paradise 90's and I'm very impressed. The Bluetooth abilities help with cell calls and to me more importantly I can listen to books on tape. Best decision I finally made!
The sound quality of Phonak 90 R is excellent no matter where I am or what I am doing. Very easy to adjust to and I especially enjoy the direct streaming option to my i phone when I am walking.
The sound quality is incredible. I am frequently impressed at how natural the sound amplification comes through. I primarily use the AI setting (98% of the time), because it functions so well for a variety of different environments.
I'm still trying to get these adjusted to my liking. It's getting better, thanks to the doc, Chris Harjes. In short, I find the sound to be a cross between harsh and symbilant. I do find the hearing aids are very revealing...I'm hearing sounds I wasn't aware of previously. This includes listening to music, specifically the drummer and his/her work with the cymbals and high hat. On the downside, phone calls through the aids are accompanied by pops and clicks.. I can hear the other party, but the extra noise is annoying.
Great on all accounts! Only issue is if I put on headphones - I get some feedback. Perhaps, the software could recognize that particular frequencies are suddenly shooting up and pull those bands down temporarily to negate the feedback. Just a suggestion.
Working with Zip Hearing has been a very positive experience. They are on the cutting edge of a relatively new hearing aid sales-and-service model, and seem to be doing their best to satisfy their customers. I selected the popular Phonak Audeo Paradise P90 aids, based upon several intensive months of research. I have not been disappointed. They offer every feature I would want, and some I don't yet need. They work very well with my ski slope style moderate-to-severe frequency losses, in the mid to high range. The sound quality is so natural that most of the time I don't even think about being impaired. No hearing aid is perfect, and the P90's are no different, but most issues, such as app functionality, are relatively minor, and may be updated in future. Some issues, such as wonky Bluetooth connectivity, are not the fault of the hearing aid manufacturers. There are valid reasons this aid is one of today's most popular. Highly recommended.
I've had hearing aids for a few years, and they weren't doing the job very well any more, so I wanted to upgrade. After doing research, I figured that these were the right ones to try. I am beyond thrilled with the quality of the sound, with the added features that make my life so much easier, and all-around improvement in my quality of life.
So far I love these hearing aides. The sound quality is excellent in both noise and quiet. Auto sense works beautifully so far. Only have for two weeks would like to update later.
Way better than old ones she had from Costco. Mom was crying with happiness because she could hear again. The Paradise 90R's are great. Mom can hear again without us having to yell. I got it paired with her iPhone and everything works great including the Double tap feature which she loves.
