They work well and are simple to control

I find the Signia Active Pro aids to be a great solution to my hearing difficulty. They work well, are simple to control and are a comfortable fit. I have experienced other aids that didn't satisfy me.

Common questions about Signia Active X hearing aids

Bluetooth / ConnectivityRechargeabilityControls/AppsMiscellaneous

Choose questions category:

Does this hearing aid allow for hands-free phone calls?
Only via the Streamline Mic accessory. You'll hear the caller's voice streamed through your Active devices, but in order for them to hear you, you'd have to either hold the phone to your mouth, or if you want hands-free calling, clip the Streamline Mic to your shirt and talk into that. The Streamline Mic has a microphone on it that will pick up your voice for the caller, allowing you to keep the phone in your pocket/purse, etc.
Can this hearing aid be paired directly to my Bluetooth TV?
No. To stream audio from the TV you'll need the Streamline TV accessory.
Is this hearing aid Bluetooth compatible?
Active is Made for iPhone, which means it can connect directly with iPhones to stream music, phone calls, and more. If you don't have an iPhone, you can still stream audio to Active devices, but it requires buying the StreamLine Mic accessory, which creates a Bluetooth connection between your Active devices and phone.
How many hours a day do the batteries last?
Signia Active provides up to 26 hours of listening, or 23 hours of listening with 2 hours of streaming.
What is the lifespan of the rechargeable batteries?
Signia expects the Active battery to last 1100 charging cycles, or around 3 years. At that point, a considerable amount of the power cell's capacity will be lost, and a new battery should be inserted, which is something Signia will do. Your hearing provider will ship the Active devices back to Signia for this service, and there will usually be a cost, ranging from $75-$200/battery.
How will I know when my battery needs to be charged?
When your battery is low, you'll hear a melodic descending tone, which will repeat every 15 minutes until the battery dies.
What if I'm on-the-go and my battery dies?
The charger has a built-in battery that stores 3 full charges, so even without electricity, you can charge your hearing aids by pulling power from the charger battery. If you're going to be "off the grid" for longer than that, Signia recommends buying the Tripp Lite model UPB-02K6-1U power pack, which is a power bank that you can plug your charger into when you need to charge your hearing aids and don't have access to electricity.
How long does it take to get a full charge?
A full charge takes 4 hours and will get you 23-26 hours of power. A 30 minute quick charge will get you 3-5 hours of power.
Does the charger include a dehumidifier?

It does not.

How many charges does the portable charging case hold?
A fully charged case can provide up to three full charges for a pair of Signia Active devices.
Can I charge the case on a charging pad?
Yes. The Active charger incorporates Qi wireless charging technology. You can use any wireless charging pad, simply lay the case directly on the pad with the charging indicator light facing up. The charger can also be charged with a USB-C cable. The charger takes about 3 hours to be fully charged.
How can I control this hearing aid, and which settings can I control?
Active has no onboard controls. Using the miniPocket remote, you can control the volume and program. Using the Signia app, you can control volume, program, base and treble.
How do I turn this hearing aid on and off?
There is no on/off switch for these hearing aids. They automtically turn on when you take them out of the case, and turn off when you put them back in. If you want to turn them off without charging them, just press and hold the charger button for 5 seconds to turn off the charger .
Does the app have a “Find My Hearing Aid” feature?
It does not.
Is this hearing aid CROS compatible?
No. If you want a CROS compatible in-the-ear hearing aid we recommend checking out Signia Silk.
Can I get this hearing aid with a telecoil?
No, a telecoil is not available with this model.
Most Signia hearing aids have numerical indicators in the model name to identify the technology level of the hearing aid. Active doesn't have this, so what technology levels are Active devices comparable to?
Active Pro is comparable to Signia's 7 technology level, indicating it's premium technology. Active is comparable to Signia's 1 and 2 technology levels, indicating it's comparable to low level technology.

This is the charger that comes with all Active orders. Hearing aids are fully charged in 4 hours, providing 23-26 hours of power. A 30-minute quick charge will provide an extra 3-5 hours of power. This charger case also features a built-in litium-ion battery which can store 3 full charges, so in the event you don't have access to electricity, you can still charge your hearing aids by pulling the reserve battery from the case. To charge the internal battery of the charger fully takes about 3 hours.

StreamLine MIC has two features. First, it's most commonly used as a Bluetooth streamer that allows you to stream audio from your phone to your hearing aids. If you have an Android phone or any non-Apple smartphone, you'll need this device if you wish to stream audio from your phone to your hearing aids. If you have an iPhone, you won't need this device, because Signia Active hearing aids are directly compatible with iPhones. Even if you have an iPhone, it still may make sense to get this, because it does allow for hands free phone calls. Wear it around your neck and the microphone picks up your voice for the person on the other end of the call to hear, so you don't have to hold you the phone to your mouth when speaking. The second feature of StreamLine MIC is its ability to work as a remote microphone. If you have a hard time hearing in noise this accessory is a lifesaver. Attach the StreamLine MIC to a companion's shirt and their voice will stream directly to your hearing aids. Their voice will come through much stronger than all the competing noise in the environment.

You probably don't need this. Most people use the app to control their hearing aids, but if that doesn't suit you, this remote is a simple way to control the volume and program.
