Phonak Marvel definitely had it's time in the sun, as Phonak's best selling hearing aid ever.

I can hardly feel them

I purchased the Phonak Marvel 30 battery operated hearing aids. The fit is great. I can hardly feel them in my ears. The quality is great too. I'm hearing sounds for the first time. I didn't realize my hearing was so bad. I should have purchased them years ago. I recommended them to my daughter and she is purchasing them too. I'm very happy with my new hearing aids.

Easy to adjust

The sound quality is excellent! Did not realize what I'd been missing for awhile! Easy to adjust and the omni-directional microphones are great. Would highly recommend giving these a try!

Pleasantly surprised

I am one of those probably very typical people who kept putting off getting the hearing aids my wife kept telling me that I needed! But to me, hearing aids meant hassle, feedback, clunky appearance and more. I am happy to report that I was wrong, at least in regard to the Phonak aids I got recently. They were immediately comfortable, worked well, and easy to operate. I couldn’t be more pleased. No, they are not like having 20 year old ears again, but they work much better than I thought they would, and both my wife and I are very happy with them.

Not blown away

I am hearing better, but so far I have not been blown away with the difference from hearing with and without hearing aids.
I have ringing in my ears and that is still an issue. I will address this with the audiologist when I go in again.
I am really hoping that there is still a few tricks that can be done that will improve my hearing to what will want me to continue to wear them.

Amazing in every way

Amazing in every way. Love the Remote app for sound quality adjustment. Bluetooth pairing works seamlessly for calls & audiobook/music streaming. Highly recommend with one slight caveat (why it's only 4 1/2 stars insteada 5). You would think a leading hearing aid maker would be able to make a battery slot actually "grip" the battery - or have the door designed so the battery would lay snuggly in the door when you set your aids aside for the nite; instead if being loose when the speaker is pointed up. The right aid is fine (gravity holds the batt in door with speaker pointed up), the left one is not. I've lost 3 batteries in 4 days (drop, roll, god-knows-where) because the batt sits 'loose' in the door and if you're not careful, it falls out when you're setting your aids down for the nite. A slight annoyance to be sure... but it *is* very annoying. A slight glitch in an otherwise perfect product. Don't the engineers who design this stuff actually use & test their products in real life situations?!

So far everything good

Good sound quality, comfortable, so far everything good. Only reason for the half-star deduction is that when listening to live music there seems to be a little bit of distortion or the quality of the sound may not be quite what I want. As a musician that is pretty important. Going to discuss with the audiologist and see if this can be improved.

100% improvement

They are so much better than the old ones speech is much clearer and talking to my wife in the car is a 100 percent improvement.
The fit could be a little better, perhaps a different size of domes would help.
Did I mention that I have turned off the closed captioning on my tv as I can now understand the dialogue so much better.

These sound Great and are very comfortable. I chose the battery model and they have a good life when I am not streaming. The Bluetooth is kind of flaky! Lots of misc sounds at unexpected times and volumes. The streaming device is good but over priced. over all the ordering and delivery went very smoothly

Very discreet and comfortable

I bought the Marvel 70s because they have most of the same features as the 90s but for a much lower cost. The hearing aids are very discreet and comfortable. I was surprised at how small they were when I got them. The battery life isn't too great (3 days) but it is mostly because I use the Bluetooth streaming a lot. The sound quality from the Bluetooth exceeded my expectations. Talking on the phone is more comfortable for me now because the sound goes to both ears and it still hear my voice when I talk.

It has taken some adjustment

I ended up returning my original in the ear hearing aids and moving to the Phonak M70s. I've had some version of them (trial pair before buying these) since July 7th (it's Sept 2nd). It has taken some adjustment but I think, in the end, I will love these. I'm getting used to the sound(s). I love the Bluetooth streaming they offer and I'm going to end up going through a lot of batteries :) My neighbors are even getting some just like these, only rechargeables because I seem to like mine so much.

Common questions about Phonak Audéo Marvel hearing aids

Bluetooth / ConnectivityRechargeabilityDisposable BatteriesControls/AppsMiscellaneous

Choose questions category:

Is this hearing aid Bluetooth compatible?
Yes, this model is Bluetooth compatible and offers direct audio streaming from almost all phones.
Does this hearing aid allow for hands-free phone calls?
Yes. The microphones on the hearing aid will pick up your voice so the caller can hear you, without the need to hold your phone next to your mouth as you normally would. This feature works best in quiet environments. Outdoors, and in noise, the caller on the other end may say you sound like your on speakerphone.
Can this hearing aid be paired directly to my Bluetooth TV?
Yes, though Phonak doesn't recommend it, as it can cause excessive battery drain. Phonak recommends purchasing the TV Connector accessory for this instead.
Is this hearing aid Roger compatible?
Yes. All Audeo Marvel models can pair directly to Roger devices.
How many hours a day do the batteries last?
With no streaming, your batteries will last 24 hrs. With several hours a day of streaming, the minimum your batteries should last is 16 hrs.
What is the lifespan of the rechargeable batteries?
Expect your battery to last 4-6 years. The battery is built-in to the hearing aid, so when it needs to be replaced, your hearing care provider will ship the hearing aid to Phonak and they'll do it. Feels will usually apply, ranging from $75-$200.
How will I know when my battery needs to be charged?
The hearing aids will make two long beep sounds. Your hearing care provider can show you a demo of these sounds in Phonak's fitting software, so you know what to expect. Typically the aids will make these notification sounds every 15-30 minutes, until the aid quits working entirely.
What if I'm on-the-go and my battery dies?
This is a risk with all rechargeable hearing aids, but most are reliable enough that with proper planning and charging, this should rarely happen. If it does happen, you have a few options to get your hearing aids charged up quickly- but they'll all require having a charger handy. If you have your standard charger that came with the hearing aids, you can of course charge your hearing aids that way, and a 30 minute quick charge will get you 3 hours of power. The charger case can be plugged into any electrical outlet, and can also be charged via USB. Alternatively, if you don't have access to electricity, if you have your charger + the optional Power Pack accessory, you'll be able to charge your hearing aids like you normally would, and the charger will draw power from the Power Pack rather than from an outlet.
How long does it take to get a full charge?
Your hearing aids will fully charge in 2 hrs, giving you 24 hours of power. A 30 minute quick charger will get you 3 hours of power .
Does the charger include a dehumidifier?
The charger has a built-in compartment where you can put desiccant which will dry out the hearing aids while they're charging. Desiccant does not come with the charger by default, so if you want this, please let us know when you place your order.
Why does the app show the battery depleting faster on one aid?
This is completely normal. One of your hearing aids (right or left), will probably always drain a little bit faster than the other, on a consistent basis. This has to do with the way the hearing aids pair to the phone via Bluetooth- it always causes the battery on one aid to drain faster than the other.
How long do the batteries last?
With no Bluetooth streaming, the M 312 models should last about a week. With a few hours a day of streaming, it could be as few as 3.5 days. Expect a few additional days from the M 13 models.
How will I know when it's time to change the battery?
The hearing aids will make two long beep sounds. Your hearing care provider can show you a demo of these sounds in Phonak's fitting software, so you know what to expect. Typically the aids will make these notification sounds every 15-30 minutes, until the aid quits working entirely.
Are the batteries hard to change?
For most people, no. If you're concerned about changing batteries, we recommend getting the rechargeable model, or the M 13 T model, which uses a larger battery than the M 312.
How can I control this hearing aid, and which settings can I control?
You can control the volume and program with the onboard rockerswitch, the RemoteControl, or the myPhonak app. The myPhonak app will also allow you to adjust the frequencies of the hearing aids.
How do I turn this hearing aid on and off?
If you use the rechargeable model, press and hold the onboard rockerswitch's bottom button down for 3 seconds to turn it on or off. Or, simply place the hearing aid in the charger. If you use a model with disposable batteries, opening the battery door will turn it off, and closing it will turn it on.
Does the app have a “Find My Hearing Aid” feature?
Phonak hearing aids and Phonak apps do not have a "Find My Hearing Aid" feature.
Is this hearing aid CROS compatible?
No. However, the newer Phonak Paradise hearing aids are CROS compatible.
Helpful tip for when your rechargeable Marvel hearing aids are acting up
If you use the rechargeable model, and they stop charging or are otherwise acting strange, try this trick. Press the rockerswitch's bottom button down for 30 seconds. Release, and put the aid in the charger for 1 minute.

RATING6
The image of Roger On iN hearing aids
Roger On iN, $1649

Roger On iN, $1649

Roger On has 3 modes- Pointing mode, Presenter mode, and Table Mic mode. In Pointing mode, simply point it towards the subject you want to hear and it'll pick up their voice, just like a microphone would. In Presenter mode (AKA lapel mode), it'll focus almost entirely on the wearer's voice and stream that to your hearing aids. In Table Mic mode is where this accessory shines, and what gives it the advantage over Roger Pen iN. When Roger On is laid flat on a surface (like a table), it automatically figures out it's orientation and switches into an automatic directionality mode. In this mode, it can automatically shift the focus of the microphones towards the direction of speech. Roger On can also wirelessly stream audio from the TV to your hearing aids, so if you buy it, you don't need to buy the TV Connector.
RATING7
The image of Roger Select iN hearing aids
Roger Select iN, $1349

Roger Select iN, $1349

Ideal for stationary situations where background noise is present, like a table at a restaurant. Set the Select iN in the middle of the table, and it automatically selects the person who is talking and seamlessly switches from one talker to another, streaming the sound directly to your hearing aids. What's nice about the Roger Select (and the reason it's better for smaller group conversations where it can be placed within arms reach), is you can hit a button on the device to change the direction the microphone is facing – you can “select” it – and override the automatic selection, allowing you to focus on the speaker most important to you. Select iN can also be worn by someone else you want to hear, on their chest using a clip or lanyard. This is known as “lapel mode.” When in lapel mode, Select iN knows its orientation and automatically ensures the microphone points upward to pick up the voice of the speaker. The lapel mode is good for a presenter at a meeting, a fitness class, and a passenger or driver in a car. Roger Select iN can also wirelessly stream audio from the TV to your hearing aids, so if you buy a Select iN, you don't need to buy the TV Connector.
RATING8
The image of Roger Table Mic II iN hearing aids
Roger Table Mic II iN, $1888

Roger Table Mic II iN, $1888

Of all the Roger accessories, Table Mic II iN has the least versatile functionality- it's really only designed for stationary use. Ideal for working adults who participate in various meetings with multiple (4+) people involved. When placed in the middle of a table, it's able to automatically pick up the voice of the person who is talking and stream it directly to your hearing aids. Table Mic II iN automatically switches between speakers, and unlike Select, you can't manually override the choices Table Mic II iN makes. Multiple Roger Table microphones can be connected to create a network and with a range of more than 60 feet it ensures you're able to fully understand everyone at work.
